✈️ By Airplane

The George Washington University
-
From Reagan (DCA):
Take the airport at DCA, then take the Blue Line of the metro to the Foggy Bottom/GWU Metro Station. -
From Dulles (IAD):
Use the Silver Line Express Bus to the Silver Line of the metro, then ride to Foggy Bottom. -
From BWI:
Take a train or shuttle into DC (e.g., to Union Station), then transfer to metro and ride to Foggy Bottom.
🚇 By Metro/Subway
-
The Foggy Bottom/GWU Metro Station serves the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines. Metro (WMATA)
-
SEH is located just across 23rd Street from that station.
-
General walking route after exiting the station: Once you exit the station, walk across 23rd St NW, then proceed to 22nd St NW until you reach the building.
Tip: If you’re coming from outside DC (e.g., suburbs), pick the metro line that connects to Blue/Orange/Silver that gets you to Foggy Bottom with minimum transfers.

🚌 By Bus
-
Many bus routes stop near GW’s Foggy Bottom campus. For instance, stops near 23rd St NW & I St NW etc.
-
Use the transit tool (e.g., the app for the local system) to find the route closest to where you’ll be coming from, and aim for a stop within a few minutes’ walk of 22nd St NW / 23rd St NW.
Tip: If you arrive via a regional bus station (e.g., Greyhound, or Amtrak + local bus) you’ll likely use bus + a short walk, or bus to metro then metro to Foggy Bottom.
